Alpha One, based in Colorado, is a leading supplier of organic-based fertilizers since their founding in 1990, the company has expanded from its initial offerings to a comprehensive range of garden fertilizers, pre-plant fertilizers, and mineral supplements. Alpha One ensures transparent and reliable access to high-quality, eco-friendly products. Problem / Challenge

Initial Setup and Limitations: Alpha One initially managed their inventory, sales, purchases, and stock using offline Excel spreadsheets. While this method was simple and cost-effective, it presented several challenges:

  • Collaboration Issues: Sharing and updating data among team members was 

  • Custom Fields and Workflows: We added custom fields and workflows to the sales order module, tailored to the Alpha One’s specific needs.

  • Custom Print Templates: Custom templates for sales orders, packages, and shipping labels were created to meet the Alpha One's requirements.

  • Seamless Integration: The Zoho Creator application was integrated with Zoho Inventory to ensure that all sales records were synchronized between the two systems.

  • Web-tab Functionality: By utilizing Zoho Inventory’s web-tab functionality, we embedded the Zoho Creator application within Zoho Inventory, providing a seamless user experience.

Recognizing the requirement for additional customization, we developed a custom Zoho Creator application tailored specifically to enhance the sales order management process. This application introduced custom fields, workflows, and print templates that were not supported by Zoho Inventory, ensuring that Alpha One could efficiently manage their unique sales order requirements.
